Chinese-American Chang and Chinese spouse Fang married and lived together in China. Later, Chang returned to the US and filed for divorce, while Fang also filed in a Chinese court. The Chinese court held that since Fang resided in China, Chinese courts had jurisdiction and legally accepted and heard the case.
