The Interpretation (II) of the Supreme People's Court on the Application of the Marriage and Family Part of the Civil Code was adopted at the 1933rd session of the Judicial Committee of the Supreme People's Court on November 25, 2024, and effective from February 1, 2025. The interpretation has 23 articles, clarifying rules on non-application of validity remediation for bigamy, non-support for "fake divorce", creditors' right to revoke property division clauses in divorce agreements, rules for handling cohabitation property disputes, handling of house gifts based on marriage, recognition of livestream tipping as profligacy, invalidity of gifts violating fidelity obligations, division rules for houses purchased with parents' contribution, and disposal of child snatching and concealment.
