According to Article 1085 of the Civil Code and related judicial interpretations, the amount of child support after divorce may be determined based on the child's actual needs, the affordability of both parents, and the local living standard. For those with fixed income, child support may generally be paid at a rate of 20% to 30% of their monthly total income. If supporting two or more children, the proportion may be appropriately increased, but generally shall not exceed 50% of monthly total income. Support shall be paid regularly, or may be paid in a lump sum if conditions permit.
